All roads lead to Droitwich

NEW signs welcoming visitors to Droitwich have been placed on routes into the town.

Droitwich Spa Town Council says that five boundary signs have been installed.

The signs will also be used to mark the 25th anniversary celebrations of the twinning association and the achievements of the Droitwich Spa Fairtrade committee, which gained Fairtrade status for the town on June 29 last year.

At a committee meeting last year, a resolution was passed to buy the five welcome signs. Droitwich, which is twinned with Bad Ems in Germany, is hosting four days of celebrations from June 26-29.

After the multiple increases in parking fees in Droitwich in recent years I am not surprised they need signs to point the way into the town. Like me most people have forgotten where it is.
