They're climbing aboard: Caroline Clarke and Hayley Fowler are the new faces at city bereavement charity Noah's Ark Trust.

NEW faces have joined a Worcester-based children's charity which is determined to support families in the two counties who have suffered a bereavement.

The Noah's Ark Trust, which is based in Lowesmoor, now has two new team members to help it raise money and its profile.

Caroline Clarke is the new community fund-raiser and Hayley Fowler is its new marketing and communications co-ordinator.

Miss Clarke, who is originally from Worcester, worked in a similar position but for a different charity in Bristol for four-and-a-half years.

She said: "My job is to is get support from the local community and let them see the work that Noah's Ark does, and to get people interested in that work. So I go and tell people about the service and hope they support us and keep the money coming in."

Now living in Lower Broadheath, she said she was pleased to be back in the city and meeting old friends and new faces.

Mrs Fowler has been at the trust now for three months.

"I was looking for a new challenge and a job that was interesting and not just a nine-to-five. This was something I knew would be making a difference."

A mother-of-one, she moved back to Worcester having lived and worked in London with her husband as an event manager. "I have quite a bit of experience organising events, and being a new mum, I relate to and understand the bond between children and their parents."

The charity is now working hard towards many new projects it has lined up for the year, including a Noah's Ark Day. The theme is caring and sharing - for example, at work you could share a cake, at school you could share a story and at home you could share a film. These are all ways you could raise money for your local charity. It is hoped the whole community will unite and show its caring side.

The trust is working closely with your Worcester News in the Towards A Brighter Future Appeal. It is looking for a home in the community that it can rent at a peppercorn rate, or is trying to raise £1million so it can buy and furnish a property. Noah's Ark is also currently looking for a Worcestershire bereavement co-ordinator and a Hereford community fund-raiser.
